Clubfitting Helps Your Clubs Help Your Game
Being a Certified Master Teacher Clubfitter through
allows me to precisely address all your needs. Using the HG Total Test™ system, the correct combination of all golf club
equipment can be tested, resulting in the most enjoyable and precise experience a golfer can have.
I can help students select clubs that feel as if they were made especially for them. Nothing is as valuable to your game
like a custom fit set of clubs, and we will fit your new clubs specifically to your measurements.
Any golfer who is about to invest in their game by purchasing a new set of clubs should make one more investment,
too: getting custom fit. Every golfer is a bit different in size, body shape and the shape of their golf swing.
A custom fitting results in clubs that are specifically suited to an individual's height, strength, clubhead speed and
swing characteristics. Off-the-shelf golf clubs are one-size-fits-all, designed for the "typical" golfer. In this case, typical means someone
5-foot-9 or 5-10 who hits a 5- or 6-iron 160 yards. A golfer might get lucky with an off-the-shelf set, but many golfers
will find themselves ill-suited to such a set. And the adjustments a golfer makes in his or her game to compensate for an
ill-fitting set can make grooving a great swing that much more difficult.
Proper clubfitting is best performed by a certified fitting professional and it must be done
outdoors where ballflight can be properly observed. It generally takes an hour to an hour and a
half to find the correct combination of lie angle shaft length, shaft flex, kick point, head
design and weight components that best enhances a golfer's most repeatable motion.
The Henry-Griffiths Interchangeable Total Test System allows for numerous combinations to be
tested under the watchful eye of a uniquely trained teacher. By observing ball flight produced
by each variation and checking lie angle and impact tape marks, the search can be narrowed to the
most desirable choice for the student.
My commitment to my students is simple. I provide a detailed and personal look into your swing
and game in order to help improve on specific areas needing assistance.
A major part of that improvement is proper equipment evaluation. Equipment Affects Motion ®.
Anyone can be taught to swing a golf club - properly finishing in balance. The tool in your hands
can greatly determine how well and how consistently you are able to do that.
We all understand why highly-skilled professional tour players have fitted equipment. Does it
not make sense that inexperienced amateurs could greatly improve and actually enjoy the game if their
equipment allows them to realize their fullest potential? Because I want to help you realize your
golfing goals, I must check the fit of your equipment you bring to your lesson. Once that has been
done, then together we can form a lesson plan customized to your individual needs.
So there's little reason for anyone in the market for new clubs to avoid a clubfitting.
